Leavenworth Skyline

Vert Running Series

RACE #1

We’re heading to the beautiful Leavenworth, Washington to open the 2025 Vert Running Series. The Leavenworth Ski Area will be the venue and it will showcase the skyline just to the North of the city with great views from the ridges of the Cascade Mountains and Eastern Cascades alpine desert views in the fast forest service road sections of Freund Canyon.

We’re thankful for the Evergreen MTB Alliance and Leavenworth Ski Hill Area for their great work on the trail system and sharing it with us for this event. Bring the family for the weekend or week to enjoy a great outdoors experience.

Divisions

Elite: Sponsored runners or runners wanting to build a resume to become sponsored
Sport: Trail runners who don’t have the time to train like the Elites but want to get out and give it their all.
Masters: 45 plus years of age, who still love to compete but are getting tired of those youngsters just nudging them out at the line.

Ski Hill 55k

With the launch of the Leavenworth Trail Fest we thought it worthy of a longer distance and to honor the venue area we've named it the Ski Hill 55k.

The Leavenworth Ski Hill Area has a long history of establishing new and great events in the winter during the 30's - 70's and introducing a new ultra distance will complete a full festival of not just running but also other mountain adventure activities.

The Ski Hill 55k is two loops of the Leavenworth Skyline course (TBD). One that delivers over 7,700 feet of vert and gives you double the views and opportunity to enjoy these fast flowing mountain trails.

We have one division for all three categories, Men, Women and Non-binary. Awards are three deep for each category.

Participants do have an option to plant five trees via our new Washington tree planting program through One Tree Planted rather than finishers award.

This event is not part of the Vert Running Series.

The Town 5k

We wanted to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy the trails and views during the festival so we've added a short 5k course. This is also a great opportunity for Youth Under 20 to get out and experience mountain running events. Youth also have a special discount.

Custom awards to top 3 man, woman and non-binary and top 3 boys and girls. All finishers will receive a custom wood medal, snacks, Best Day Brewing drink and other soft drinks..

Trail Family Food Tent

When our participants finish their mountain running experience, they'll find the Trail Family Food Tent to help them replenish their nutrients including vegan friendly choices. A great way to chat about the day is around the tables with your trail running family.

Volunteer

We have several volunteer opportunities that you can sign up for here at Ultrasignup. All volunteers will receive $20 credit per hour served to use on any of our events here on Ultrasignup. These credits are good for two years and can be transferred to a family member or friend if you email us.

One Tree Planted

We have partnered with One Tree Planted to have an option to have 5 trees planted in the state of Washington instead of receiving the finishers award. You can make a difference and help our event stay carbon neutral through this thoughtful option.

You can select your option during registration.
