START & TIME LIMIT:
6 AM start; 36-hour time limit.
Competitors will be required to adhere to a 16 hour cutoff at approximately 50 miles.
The course is an asphalt loop in Kingman County, KS with a 6 mile out and back in Cheney State Park at the start of the event. The entire course is on asphalt county roads (no major highways, minimal vehicular traffic) in Kingman County, KS. All runners MUST provide their own crew (minimum 1 person) & vehicle for the entirety of this event...no exceptions. Exact course maps will be provided to registrants two weeks before the event. Pacers will be allowed for the second 50 miles of this event.
All runners must provide their own crew & vehicle, along with food and a minimum of one 5-gallon water cooler, one ice chest & one 5-gallon water container. Epic Ultras will provide a roving support wagon or two (depending upon number of participants) that will re-supply ice & water to all of the crew vehicles throughout the event.
CHECK-IN (Staging Area):
Check in and staging area (start/finish) is at the West Shore Area of Cheney State Park, KS. Following is a link to Google Maps showing the exact location of the staging area, along with a link to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism that provides complete details on the area, along with being able to reserve a cabin (if available) or campsite (primitive & full-hookups). If not staying in the park overnight, a day use fee (per vehicle) will be required.
Post race food will range from fresh breakfast items and fruit to burgers, brats and a whole lot more!

Plenty of primitive campsites surround the start/finish area (Giefer Creek Day Use Area), along with plenty of full hookup campsites about one mile away. There are also several cabins for rent (if available), along with full restroom and shower facilities in the park, as well. If reserving a primitive campsite, the Giefer Hill and Harding Hill Campgrounds are right beside the start/finish line.
Closest hotel/motel lodging options are in Goddard or Kingman, both about 20 miles away from the start/finish, or plenty of lodging options in Wichita, a little over 30 miles away.
