Winter Solstice Run

This is an extremely informal, chill event.

The two loops will be marked with two separate color ribbons - feel free to run as many of each loops as you desire and to come and go as you please. The loops start and finish at the Sky Country trailhead and runners can run in either direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) - I'll do my best to mark the course so it can easily be run in either direction.

I will also be running loops all day, so be sure to sign yourself in, track your own loops, and help yourself at the aid station/food table. I'll bring some beverages for after the run for anyone who wants to hang out for a bit!

Aid station: There will be a tent and table set up at the trailhead with some food and water - this is a very small-scale event, so I do not anticipate having volunteers staffing this table, but feel free to hang out there for as long as you like. If you would like to bring a dish/snack to share, that would be great!

Loop tracking: I'll have a page where you can tally the number of loops you run as you go, to be published on Ultrasignup after the event ends if you so desire.  

Swag/Awards: This is a low-cost, low-budget, fatass-style event, so there is no swag and no prizes.

Typical weather: This event basically tends to be a swim competition. Prepare for MUDDY trails and wet, cold weather. 

This event is CUPLESS - please bring your own containers for fluids during the race (bottles, soft flasks, and collapsible cups) as well as after the race (for your beer!).

Cancellation policy: Banshee Running does not issue refunds if the race is cancelled due to situations outside the RD’s control, nor do we issue refunds for a runner who wishes to withdraw from the race at any time. If you register and become pregnant or a new parent, or if you are deployed please, contact us for our deferral policy.

Registration: Registration will remain open until a few days before the event, or show up and pay with Venmo or Paypal for day-of registration.
