We are low-key, low-frills, high-fun, and high-camaraderie. No swag, no awards, and no whinning! We will ask everyone to bring some food to share at the aid station and will supplement with with a variety of GU products, and some other special treats. Race results will go to Ultrarunning Magazine, Ultrasignup and Realendurance.com. Ideal trail race for those new to trail running as well as veteran ultra runners, as many people are yet to discover the location and trails. Distances offered: 10K, half-marathon, 50K and 50M. There will be a single aid station at start/finish. Be sure to bring bottle to carry hydration.
The Great Brook Farms in Carlisle, MA are stunning and will be a perfect New England fall setting for a beautiful trail run. The course is a 10M loop, is relatively flat, 100% runnable and have the usual roots, rocks and other "trippables" with which to contend. This is a great course for first-time trail runners as well as veterans who want to set a PR. 10K starts at 8:00 am, all other races start at 8:15 am. Mandatory trail briefing at 7:45 am.
First-Ever Gluten Free Aid!
This event is the first race EVER to feature a completely GLUTEN FREE aid station table!! That's right...no more cross-contamination fears and carrying all of your own snacks. We will have plenty of the stuff you know and love like chips, M&Ms, potatoes, and drinks. Of course, we would like to make this as successful as possible and will be asking for folks to donate some other GF yummies as well. More info as we get closer to the race, but please message me or drop a line below if you think you would like to donate or perhaps bake up your favorite GF treat to share! How psyched are you?!
