Race Day Timeline:
Check-In: 8:30-9:15am
Race Start: 9:30am

Course:
The course is one loop, you do not overlap any area twice. We highly recommend poles as there are some steeper ascents (40%+ grade) and one steeper descent. Also recommend trail running shoes. The course consists of gravel and dirt on the first uphill and last downhill which are less steep and grass on the steeper sections. We will be marking the course with orange lawn flags as well as some lawn signs that have big arrows on them. We plan to have at least one aid station on the course that will have Skratch hydration/nutrition, water, small snacks. The location will be announced on race morning. There will also be some volunteers on the course for encouragement, safety, and taking some action shots.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the course map please do so and download the gpx if your device allows. Here is a quick overview. Within the first 5k you tackle most of the vert with 2500+ feet in three climbs and then you get to a nice runnable section before heading downhill to the last climb which will bring you to the 3500ft by mile 5 before a nice 1.5 mile downhill finish.
Restrooms will be available at the start/finish/check-in area in the building.

Spectators:
Family/friends are welcome to come to spectate and cheer you on for this one. Due to the nature of the course, they will see you multiple times throughout the event.

Post Race Refreshments
We will have some snacks, hydration, fruit available post-race. Locally there are some great spots as well. Depending the direction your headed, the Phoenicia Diner is a staple.

USATF WAIVER
Attached is the USATF Waiver. Please sign and return back.

PLATTEKILL MOUNTAIN WAIVER
The mountain has a waiver that they want us to have all runner sign. This waiver we will have available on race day at check in.
