Bootlegger 50k



The Bootlegger races (25k and 50k) take place in Bootleg Canyon and cross between Boulder City and Bureau of Land Management jurisdictions. Views of Boulder City, Henderson, the Las Vegas Strip, Lake Mead, and Mount Charleston are all visible from the course. Runners can also see into California and Arizona from the higher vantage points. The 25k course consists of a single loop and has a total of 2,200 feet of elevation gain. The 50k completes this same 15.4-mile loop twice for approximately 4,400’ of gain. The 25k will have three aid stations. The 50k will have six well stocked aid stations spaced no more than 10 miles apart. The terrain breakdown is 28 miles of single-track, 1.5 miles of dirt road, and about 0.5 miles of pavement. Much of the single-track trail is technical, yet there are some fast and smooth sections. On race day morning, runners can expect temperaures in the 40s, with daytime highs in the 70s.
