Turkey Springs Showdown 10k & Half-Marathon

Race Description

The Turkey Springs Showdown is a 10k and a Half Marathon trail race that starts and finishes at the Turkey Springs Guard Station (FS Road 629.B). The race course follows the single track of the Gopher trail, Aspen Run trail, Newt Jack trail, Catamount Trail, and Park Avenue Trail. Both courses are very runnable with some rolling terrain - perfect courses for setting PR's!

Directions to Start/Finish Line

Due to a road closure, these are the directions to follow. From Highway 160, travel north on North Pagosa Blvd for 7.2 miles. Turn left onto Piedra Rd (CR 600) and travel 0.6 miles. The paved road is now a gravel road. Turn left onto Turkey Springs Road (USFS Road 629) and travel 3.25 miles. Your destination will be on the right. Per the USFS, all vehicles must turn around and park on Turkey Springs Road, facing the direction you will leave back to Piedra Road. Signs will be posted on the NO PARKING side.

The Start/Finish Line is a 0.25 mile walk down Road 629.B which is also known as the Guard Station Road. There is NO driving on the Guard Station Road except for race officials.

Entry fees include: lightweight tech t-shirt, custom sports pack with snacks and discount offers from our local partners including Right Molecule IV Hydration Lounge, custom finisher's pint glass, post-race lunch with beverage provided by Forever Blue BBQ food truck and catering, aid stations and finish line goodies, awards to top male and female winners, and chip timed results.

Packet Pickup

Runners can pick up their packets near the start/finish line on Race Day from 7:00 am - 7:45 am. Each runner will receive a pint glass, lightweight tech t-shirt, and a sports bag filled with snacks and discount offers from our local sponsors and partners.

Race Morning Schedule

-> Course Briefing: 7:50 am
-> Race Start for 10k: 8:00 am
-> Race Start for Half Marathon: 8:10 am
-> Awards and Giveaways: 11:00 am or as soon as all runners for each race have finished

Refunds

If we are forced to cancel or postpone the event, runners will receive a transfer to any Wolf Song Running Adventures event. No refunds will be issued.
