Located in beautiful Chester, VT, the Pinnacle trails are lush, rolling, and somewhat hilly.
Lover’s Lane 6/12 hour trail run is for runners of ALL abilities. Come run/walk one lap, two, or as many as you can, in six or 12 hours. The trail is 1/3 single track, 1/3 double track & 1/3 Jeep trail.
Our mission is to get folks moving! Never run an ultra? This event is for you. Timed formats are great for newcomers & veterans alike. Outstanding support from folks who know ultrarunning. Have a question? Just ask! We want to make this day a blast for YOU! We love running & want to make your 1st time as positive as can be. Veterans: come test yourself, how many laps can you get in??
Some of the basics:
The course consists of a 1.8 mile (+/-) loop , with 280’ of elevation gain/loss per loop.
This is a fat-ass style event. We'll provide the basics, including Untapped Maple Aid electrolyte drink, a few snacks, and a BBQ (with vegetarian options). If you'd like a special item such as something GF, please bring it (and maybe a smidge to share). Fat-ass simply means this is a barebones event. Bring a food item to share. We'll help out as much as possible on race day to get you what you need, but we won't have EVERYTHING. If you need something special, please bring it.
The run begins & ends at the Chester town park. Lots of parking. Families and friends who want to come & support their runners have plenty to keep them busy. Pool (with lifeguard), skate park, softball fields, tennis courts, walking trails & an 18-hole disc golf course are all right here. Have a swim (humidity on race day is HIGH) & cheer your runner on.
Lover’s Lane is a benefit for the Chester, VT Recreation Department & Turning Point Recovery Center of Springfield, VT.
