The Event
This is a private event for Jared's 40th Birthday Party!
1. We will start the 1-mile run/walk/crawl portion of the event at 4:00pm sharp. Please plan to arrive around 3:30 to get your bib number, and to check in with our timing coordinator, the amazing and talented Chad Haffa. I will collect the $10 charitable contribution from everyone; cash or Venmo is fine.
2. This is not a race, it is a group of people making use of a public street for recreation. There will be a time clock and race bibs, but the street is open to all, so please be aware of cars and other pedestrians. Participate at your own risk. No refunds. Terms and conditions apply.
3. The start/finish location will be the corner of East Cooper and Center Street, right in front of my dad’s shop, Mr. John's Beach Store. We will run/walk down East Cooper for 0.5mi and then turn around. The turnaround location will be marked.
4. For the social portion of the event, we’ll be going to Snapper Jack’s for refreshments. I will be leaving at 6:15, so if you’re planning to drop in later, please keep that in mind. It’s a long drive home to the Upstate.
5. I have been informed that it would be helpful to have a rough estimate of the number of participants we should expect. If you responded with a “yes” or a “maybe” and you’re planning to skip the run/walk, please drop a comment below or send me a message. I will assume that everyone is planning to participate unless you indicate otherwise.
