Treasured Haven Farm - The Trails
Treasured Haven Farm Trail Runs follow the private farm trails through a mix of slightly rolling open field and prairie areas, woods, ravines, and woodland hills, many that overlook Rock Creek. You enjoy the countryside and woodlands traversing an organic family farm while running these very unique races on the edge of the St. Croix River Valley near Rush City in East Central Minnesota.
The farm trails were created for monitoring our organic fields, woodland management, or accessing the maple trees that are tapped to make maple syrup, which is available for purchase at the farm on race day. Trails may vary slightly year to year due to crop rotations and field access, but are generally mown grass in the open areas and established trails within the wooded areas. The trails are clearly marked. Parking is off-road in an established mown grass parking area. Ample clean, privately-owned porta-potties are available. You enjoy the countryside and woodlands traversing an organic family farm while running these very unique races on the edge of the St. Croix River Valley near Rush City in East Central Minnesota.
The farm is located an easy drive, five miles off the I-35 corridor, and conveniently located within an hour from the Twin Cities Metro, 90 minutes from Duluth, and easily accessible from other areas of Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.
Treasured Haven Farm has seen runners from over 30 states in the thirteen years the events have been held. Spectators are welcomed and encourage
Growing Green Challenge - Sunday
The Growing Green 3-Hour, 6-Hour, and 12-Hour Challenge Races run on a 3 mile groomed loop course (wheeled measurement) that DOES NOT include the most challenging woodland hills to allow runners a faster course to get those miles logged. A smaller 5/8 to 3/4 mile loop (precise wheeled measurements available by race day) will be open during the last hour of each race to get as many completed miles as possible before the air horn sounds. This is such a fun and challenging race. The staging area under tents are provided for each runner to have their own personal support staff and aid station, or you can opt to bring your own tent. Each runner knows their own nutritional and support needs best and is best suited to provide most of their own and/or team personnel as needed, so consider it self-aided even though additional complimentary snack items, fruit, water, juices, etc. will be available at the event tent. Each Finisher receives an engraved wooden Finishers Award.
FREE OVERNIGHT CAMPING or vehicle parking is available for all race participants the night before the race, and also for the 12-Hr participants the night following. We ask everyone be in place prior to sunset if at all possible or schedule your arrival by contacting Pete at the farm 651-208-4012.
