Description of the Race
The Andalé Racing Club is proud to announce the creation of a year long 5K and 1 Mile Racing Series to be run on the second Saturday, of every month in 2023, at Michael Gunn Park at Platte Meadows in Platte County, Missouri.
What: 5K Trail Race or 1 Mile
When: Saturday, May 20th at 9am 5K and 10am 1 Mile

T-Shirt & Course
T-Shirt: You get one. The logos are designed by Sydney Hemphill, who is an incredible artist.
The Courses: 100% Trail Race – “So what does that mean Coach Ben?” I’m glad you asked. It’s sort of a hybrid between single track on grass, rough grass, long grass, single track in the woods, two small water crossing you can jump, crushed limestone/gravel trail, dirt, and lots of pokey things sticking out of the ground. It’s not easy but it’s fun and it has sections you can really flow on. Uneven surfaces, questionable footing, it’s fantastic.

Parking and Packet Pickup and Photos
Parking: You can park at the gravel trail head parking lot BUT if it is full. Park in the Walden Middle School parking lot and walk about a quarter mile.
Packet Pickup: WORKING ON A DAY BEFORE LOCATION

Medals and Swag
There is a finisher medal for anyone who runs just one or two of the 5Ks or one of the 1 Mile races. You can see that medal via the pictures. It is a fairly straightforward medal with my logo and club name.
The second medal is if you compete in two of the races in a given series. This medal is much larger and fancier and comes with the ability to win four separate Free-Tail Bat magnetic inserts that will attach to the much larger medal. If you complete two races in a series you will get the big medal, plus one of the cool bat inserts.
Complete the Springtime Series then you add the Green Bat
Complete the Summer Series then you add the Red Bat
Complete the Fall Series then you add the Yellow Bat
There is also seasonal specific swag.
