About The Born To Run Experience

The Born To Run Ultra Marathon Extravaganza is a extraordinary trail running experience and much, much more. If you are reading this, you probably understand that.
Since 2011, we have been meeting, running, dancing and celebrating on a private cattle ranch hidden somewhere in Santa Barbara California.
By design, this event is difficult to find and challenging in every way.
We hope that you decide to join us for a few days of trail running and camping on the beautiful California Central Coast.
4 Day / 96 Hour Runner
4 Day registration includes entrance to the ranch property from 8:00am Wednesday, May 15 to 12:00pm Sunday, May 19
Born To Run Four Day will start at 12:00pm on Wednesday, May 14 and end at 12:00pm on Sunday, May 18. We will provide a well marked course, aid approximately every 5 miles and professional chip lap counting. Complete 100 miles within the Four Day allotted time period and receive a 100 Mile Buckle. Complete 200 miles within the Four Day allotted time period and receive a 200 Mile Buckle. Special awards will be presented to the male and female who has completed the most mileage within the allotted 96 hour time period. Souvenir tee shirt and custom bib number for all registered runners. Awards for all finishers.
$550.00 advanced registration fee plus $10.00 per person, per day payable upon arrival at the ranch.
3 Day / 72 Hour Runner
3 Day registration includes entrance to the ranch property from 8:00am Thursday, May 15 to 12:00pm Sunday, May 18
Born To Run Three Day will start at 12:00pm on Thursday, May 15 and finish at 12:00pm on Sunday, May 18. We will provide a well marked course, aid approximately every 5 miles and professional chip lap counting. Complete 100 miles within the Three Day allotted time period and receive a 100 Mile Buckle. Special awards will be presented to the male and female who has completed the most mileage within the allotted 72 hour time period. Souvenir tee shirt and custom bib number for all registered runners. Awards for all finishers.
$450.00 advanced registration fee plus $10.00 per person, per day payable upon arrival at the ranch.
100 Mile Runner
100 Mile registration includes entrance to the ranch property from 8:00am Friday, May 16 to 12:00pm Sunday, May 18
Born To Run 100 Mile will start at 6:00pm on Friday, May 16 and finish at 12:00pm on Sunday, May 18. We will provide a well marked course, aid approximately every 5 miles and professional chip lap counting. Complete 100 miles within the allotted time period and receive a 100 Mile Buckle. Special awards will be presented to the top male and female. Souvenir tee shirt and custom bib number for all registered runners. Awards for all finishers.
$350.00 advanced registration fee, plus $10.00 per person, per day payable upon arrival at the ranch.
30 Mile Runner
30 Mile registration includes entrance to the ranch property from 5:00am Saturday, May 17 to 12:00pm Sunday, May 18
30 Mile Event will start at 7:00am on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Three 10 mile loops. Aid approximately every five miles. Souvenir tee shirt and custom bib number for all registered runners. Awards for all finishers. No pacers.
$125.00 advanced registration fee, plus $10.00 per person, per day payable upon arrival at the ranch.
20 Mile Runner
20 Mile registration includes entrance to the ranch property from 5:00am Saturday, May 17 to 12:00pm Sunday, May 18
20 Mile Event will start at 7:00am on Saturday, May 17, 2024. Two 10 mile loops. Aid approximately every five miles. Souvenir tee shirt and custom bib number for all registered runners. Awards for all finishers. No pacers
$125.00 advanced registration fee, plus $10.00 per person, per day payable upon arrival at the ranch.

10 Mile Runner
10 Mile registration includes entrance to the ranch property from 5:00am Saturday, May 17 to 12:00pm Sunday, May 18
10 Mile Event will start at 7:00am on Saturday, May 17, 2024. One 10 mile loop. Aid approximately every 5 miles. Souvenir tee shirt and custom bib number for all registered runners. Awards for all finishers. No pacers.
$125.00 advanced registration fee, plus $10.00 per person, per day payable upon arrival at the ranch.
Day Pass and Guest Registration
Day Pass is a 24 Hour 8:00am to 8:00am entrance pass. Intended for the registered runner to add additional days prior to your event and Non-Runner Guest Registration. Guest registration is intended for non-running friends, family, crew and pacers. Non-runner guest must be sponsored by a registered participant.
$35.00 per 24 hour day advanced registration fee, plus $10.00 per person, per day payable upon arrival at the ranch.
Event Cancelation Disclaimer
AllWeDoIsRun is optimistic that this event will happen as planned. However, it is important that we all understand and agree that everything is fluid and unforeseen challenges and changes may happen in the future.
AllWeDoIsRun is constantly monitoring, educating and interacting with our local, state and national health care officials, permit holders and venue property owners regarding COVID19, wild land fires and Safe Trail Running and Racing.
With the current social, medical and legal instabilities, it is impossible to guarantee that this event will happen as planned.
AllWeDoIsRun will conduct this event only if safe and legal as described by the CDC, state and local authorities.
AllWeDoIsRun, USDA, USFS and the venue property owners reserve the right to amend and or cancel this event at anytime.
Refunds, Transfers, Deferrals
Regardless of the situation, there are absolutely no refunds, transfers and or deferrals for this event. Once you have registered, please do not ask for a refund, transfer or deferral.
Course
100% dirt, ranch road and single track trail.
2 single direction loops that start and end and meet in the center.
You will pass your vehicle every 10 miles. You are welcome to self crew out of your vehicle.
Loop one is approximately 10 miles with +2100 feet of vertical gain. Loop one is marked with Pink ribbon.
Loop two is approximately 10 miles with +1600 feet of vertical gain. Loop two is marked with Yellow ribbon.
Striped ribbon indicates turns.
Blue is bad. Blue ribbons indicate where not to go. Don’t pass Blue ribbons.
No course map is available at this time. If you need a map and elevation profile...this is not the event for you.
No dogs on the course.
Ranch Gate and Check In Schedule
Wednesday, May 14, 2025 - the Ranch Gate and Runner Check In will open at 8:00am and close at 8:00pm. Absolutely no ranch access after 8:00pm.
Thursday, May 15, 2025 - the Ranch Gate and Runner Check In will open at 8:00am and close at 8:00pm. Absolutely no ranch access after 8:00pm.
Friday, May 16, 2025 - the Ranch Gate and Runner Check In will open at 8:00am and close at 8:00pm. Absolutely no ranch access after 8:00pm.
Saturday, May 17, 2025 - the Ranch Gate and Runner Check In will open at 5:00am and close at 12:00pm. Absolutely no ranch access after 12:00pm.
