Race Overview
The West Texas Ultra is a 10K, 25K, 50K, and 50 Mile trail run held at the Lake Meredith National Recreation Area in the rugged landscape of West Texas. Featuring a scenic and stunning dirt single-track course. The race follows 30 miles of unique trails beginning and ending in Fritch TX at the South Turkey Creek Trailhead.
Course Overview
- Surface: Single Track Dirt Trail.
- Course: Turkey, Harbor Bay, and Fritch Fortress Trail
- Elevation: Rugged hills and climbs with approx. gains and loss of 6500 for the 50M.
- Location: South Turkey Creek Trailhead, Fritch TX
- Weather: Historic Average shows 44-72 degrees.
- No Cup Race: We don't serve cups, please make sure to bring your own water-carrying system!
Texas Ultra Series
This series spans all across Texas. All the finisher medals from each race combine to make the State of Texas. Anyone who finishes all the races will receive a special wooden case for all the finisher medals. (see 'website' for pictures of the finisher medals)

The Top 7 Males and Top 7 Females that run the farthest distance of a Texas Ultra race will qualify for the Big Texas Ultra 100K Championship near Austin TX for a chance to win thousands of dollars and the Big Texas Ultra Champion Title.

Packet Pickup:
5:30AM to 8AM (Participants will receive their Bib and Race T-Shirt at packet pickup.)
Start Times:
50M Runners - 6:30 AM
50K Runners - 7:00 AM
25K Runners - 7:30 AM
10K Runners - 8:00 AM
Cutoff Time: 8:30 PM (12 Hours)

Within a 30-day notice, runners can receive a full race credit to any race of their choosing (except qualifier-required races.) For anything less than 30 days notice, race credits can not be transferred. We do not offer full refunds.
