Park City Trail Series

Park City Trail Series is a 3-race series that runs from June-August. It starts with a 5K and works up to a half marathon. All of the events are on the Round Valley Trails in Park City, Utah. Due to the ease of the terrain, these trail runs are designed with beginner users in mind. However, with well marked courses and the regularly-placed aid stations, these races are also a great option for more advanced trail runners.

Course Descriptions

5K: With two short exceptions, the entire course is on graded-type dirt roads. This is the easiest terrain out of all of the courses and has the least amount of elevation gain/loss. This is a great course for children and a great introduction to trail running participants doing in their first trail running event. It is slightly longer than a 5K, measuring at 3.21 miles.

Aid Stations:There will be one aid station at approximately 2 miles into the course. It will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.

10K: This course is slightly more challenging than the 5k, and a little longer than 10K. The course takes participants onto additional elevation gain/loss as well as more technical/rocky terrain. With more challenge comes more reward! Participants will encounter great views of the surrounding Park City scenery.

Aid Stations: There will be 3 aid stations. Mile 1.25, mile 3.5 and mile 5.5. They will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.

Half Marathon: This is our most challenging course. Without any single hill being overwhelming on its own, the sum of its parts is what makes it challenging. This is not a course for a first time trail runner that isn’t interested in a challenge. The half marathon includes the most scenic viewpoints from all the races. In addition, it has the most technical downhill portion of any of the races. The course has a lot of single track, a lot of switchbacks, and prepares the beginner trail runner for any trail or terrain out there.

Aid Stations: There will be four aid stations on this course. They will be stocked with water and friendly volunteers.
