Race Info
Welcome to the 6th annual Lady at the Lake 8 hour and 4 hour race! This race will be held on the 1 mile trail loop around the beautiful Lake Trahlyta nestled at the base of Coosa and Blood mountains at Vogel State Park. Run as many or as few laps as you please in 4 or 8 hours. The trail is gently rolling and very runnable and consists of hard pack pea gravel and some single track and a very short section that is paved. Legend has it that Cherokee Indian Princess Trahlyta's beauty was so renowned that after refusing a warrior's marriage proposal he kidnapped her and held her captive for the remainder of her life. Her dying wish was to be returned to the mountains that she so dearly loved. The warrior honored this one wish and returned her body to her beloved mountains. The lake is named for the beautiful Trahlyta and we pay homage to the Lady of the Lake. Proceeds will benefit Vogel State Park!
Aid Station
There will be an aid station at the start/finish that will have the typical aid station food (bananas, oranges, cookies, chips, candy, PB&J, Grilled Cheese, and more). Water, Gatorade, and Coke will be provided as well. Please carry your own water bottle or hydration pack as this will be a cupless race.
