Hello PBU Participants!

We are less than 12 weeks out and it's time to start preparing for race day :)

There is some exciting news posted on our FaceBook site today regarding PBU Merchandise.

We are now able to offer PBU t-shirts and hats available for purchase at the Outfitters Online Shop:

Since this is a non for profit event (with any proceeds being donated to the East Coast Trail Association and a charity of the choice by the Town of Paradise), we kept the registration costs down as low as possible... enough to cover the race basics (race insurance, bibs, timing, first aid, security.. etc) - but wanted to offer participants and the general public an opportunity to buy a hat or t-shirt. Again, these products have no markups to keep costs down. For the shirts, we also are offering the option to add your name to the back at no extra charge (look for the field to fill out when selecting your shirt size and placing your order).

We are planning to do 2 orders. One on March 31st to give us enough time to get the gear in for race day; and another shortly after the race - for people who decide they may have missed out and want a piece of history.

Waitlist Update / Refunds in January

Happy New Year folks!

We hope you had a wonderful December and with 2024 started, most of you have probably planned out your 2024 goals and started some kind of winter training schedule. If you haven't, no worries, there are still over 4 months left to PBU and the racing season stretches the entire year.

For those who have been waitlisted, we do have some exciting news in that we are working to extend the field size to ~ 150. We will be opening the waitlist throughout this month.

And in an effort to clear up some additional spots we will be offering refunds (minus service fees) from now until the end of the January to any registered runners who for whatever reason (vacation, work, injury..) won't be able to participate in the PBU. If you are interested in a refund ($60), please send an email to paradisebackyardultra@gmail.com and it can be processed manually via EMT (ultra signup does not process these). This offer does end at the end of January as we will have to start planning for the event.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Paradise the weekend of May 25-26+ and we love hearing from you in The Corral!!

Registration Notes

The race is capped at 125 participants. There will be a waitlist which will be processed by the earliest registration date of the participant. If you are waitlisted, you will be sent an invite by the Race Director once a spot becomes available.

Note: Registration & Bib Numbers cannot be transferred - Out of respect to the waitlisted and committed participants.

Refunds (less service fees) or Rollover Registration will be offered if the event is canceled.
