About the Event

Are you ready to be a part of a movement that spreads joy, connection, and love? This is a trail race unlike any other where you'll push yourself through rugged coastal terrain, along steep cliffs with breathtaking views of coastal cliffs and pounding seas. Whether you decide to join the individual 50k or gather a team of four friends for the 50k relay we promise you will leave with your tank empty and your heart full as we embrace the journey as a trail running community. Celebrate your accomplishment with your family and friends at the finish line with great food, beverages and live music.

The 2024 Joy Run 50 is the 4th annual trail race and a commemoration event held in support of the Joy For Jody Foundation—a heartfelt tribute to the lives that have touched us deeply and to Jody Joy who died by suicide July 2019. As participants lace up their shoes and embrace the East Coast trail, they become a part of a larger narrative that aims to raise awareness about suicide prevention and mental health. Every step taken echoes the commitment to breaking the silence surrounding these vital conversations.

Join us for an unforgettable experience that celebrates life and the enduring spirit of community.

At The Joy Run, we’re more than just a running event. We’re a community, a family, and a voice that declares the value of every life. Together, we’ll share our passion for trail running, connect with the beauty of nature, and celebrate the boundless kindness of the human spirit.

As we gear up for this year’s run, we’re excited to welcome back some of our amazing sponsors and introduce new ones to our growing family. Stay tuned for updates and join us in making a difference.
