Palisades Kepler State Park

Palisades-Kepler State Park is a beautiful outdoor destination on the banks of the Cedar River outside Cedar Rapids. Dramatic river bluffs, deep ravines, majestic hardwood trees and an abundance of wildlife characterize the area, and Native American Indian mounds mark the early history of the park. Established in 1922, Louis H. Kepler donated his estate to the park in 1928, nearly doubling its size. Much of the park’s rustic character can be found in park structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.

Race Description

Running the trails will provide over 400 feet elevation gain per 2.4 mile loop.
Rocky, roots, steps, single track trail provides breath taking views of the Cedar River and surrounding bluffs. But what goes up must come down as you return each loop to the start line. The Promenade is a 2 loop 4.8 mile stroll while the Punisher Mini or Punisher is to see how many loops you can do. New this year is the 4 hour Mini. And 8 hours for the Punisher.

One aid station with beverages and nourishment. The cut off times are hard at 4 and 8 hours. Upon completing your race join us for hot protein and refreshments.

Custom made awards varies by race.
Most loops overall Female and Male.

Race proceeds will be donated to the Palisades Kepler State Park.
