Race Description
The Cobra Den Trail Series is a 4-race series on the Tour De Wolf trails and the Wolf River Trails at Shelby Farms in Memphis, TN. Cape 5k and 10k held on June 15, 2024, on the Tour de Wolf trails will kick off our trail series. The second race of the series will be the Samar 4 and 8 milers on June 29, 2024, at the Wolf River Trails, followed by the Caspian 5 and 10 milers on July 13th, 2024, on the Tour de Wolf Trails and last race is the King 10k and Half Marathon held on August 3rd, 2024, on the Wolf River Trails.
The overall male and female winner of all 4 Cobra Den races combined will receive free entry into any of the Mamba races distances 2024. We will have a Finisher medal for each runner after the race
Age restrictions: Distances 10k and below are open to ages 5 and above with parent/guardian waiver signature, and race distances of 8 miles and up are open to ages 13 and up with parent/guardian waiver signature.
We will have water/aid stations along the course (number of aid stations and food available will be dependent on race distance) with race hydration, water, coke, candy, gels, ice, snack foods, etc. Cooling towels will be provided at the beginning of each race. The start/finish of the race will be a fun, music filled atmosphere. We will rock out to some of your favorite tunes to get you hyped up for your race. The race will be chip timed with results posted on Ultrasignup a few days after the race.
Each participant in the Cobra Den trail series will receive a short sleeve T-shirt and this shirt will be the same shirt for all 4 races dates. If you run multiple dates, then you'll only receive 1 shirt. We will offer a total cash raffle prize of $125 before the start of each race date, so this means 4 opportunities for you to win cash if you run all 4 race dates, with a total of $500 cash given out in the Cobra Den Trail Series.
In the event of severe weather, we will delay the start as necessary to avoid lightening. If severe weather threatens the entire day and does not appear to let up, we may be forced to cancel. If it is rain only, then the race will go on as is.
There are no refunds, deferrals, credits or friend / family transfers on entries. We do not mail shirts or medals to participants unable to make the event.
There will be very loose cutoffs. It is our goal to get more people in this awesome sport of trail running no matter what skill you are. However, we would suggest that if you are not able to maintain 17-minute miles that you please consider doing the Short Series vs the Long Series. There will be a 20 minute/ mile cutoff for Long Series participants.
