Cancelled Event
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Due to the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Helene in our corner of Southern Appalachia, the inaugural Kettlefoot Trail Run will be postponed until further notice. The disaster has closed many major routes of travel into and out of the area and has emergency services working in excess of normal volume. There are also hundreds of trees down on Doe Mountain. We will try again in spring of 2025.
Test your limits among the changing leaves!
Join us on Saturday, October 19, 2024 for a scenic tour of Doe Mountain Recreation Area. Located minutes from downtown Mountain City, Tennessee, DMRA offers stunning scenery on a variety of trail types. Runners of all distances will have the opportunity to climb the 60-foot Kettlefoot Fire Tower earning views of Watauga Lake, Grandfather Mountain, and the surrounding valleys. This is a USATF sanctioned event.
