Race Description
Join us for the fourth annual Grist Mill Grind 10K Trail Race, an event that runners testify is the most difficult and challenging 10K in the area. This year we are adding "Rucking" to the repertoire for an added participants challenge.
Event Date: Saturday, August 31st, 2024 Time: 8:00 a.m.* - 12:00 p.m. Check-in: 7:00-7:45 a.m. at the Hausen Knox Shelter. Signup: 1/4/2024 – 7/31/2024 $25.00 After: 7/31/2024 $35.00 Raceday: $45.00 $15/T-Shirt (Registration before 8/15 guarantees a Shirt) *Online registration closes at noon on Friday 8/30/2024. This is a technical trail race at the Franklin Creek State Parks Natural Area. Runners follow trails up and down multiple hills with an elevation gain of ~800ft. You will get your feet wet as you cross the Franklin Creek four times on your way to the finish. A unique race experience we're sure you'll be proud to complete. Drinking water will be available at the Start/Finish and Sunday shelter (Mid race point). Please bring your own disposable cup or bladder, no cups will be provided to minimize environmental impact. 1 Mile Walkers will start at Hausen Knox and travel through the forest and creek side for a beautiful loop on the Black Bass trail providing a wonderful sample of the park.. All proceeds go to the Franklin Creek Conservation Association (FCCA) to help fund park programs, park expansion, and park improvements. Custom Awards will be presented to the Top 3 Male and Female runners, and Ruckers. T-Shirts are available for purchase to all participants wishing to commemorate the event. Packet Pickup will be available on 8/30/2024 at Stone Bridge Running in Dixon. Race day at the race site (Hausen Knox Shelter) 7am-7:45am.
