The Why

A big part of this race is to highlight National Recovery Month and Mental Health Issues. Please if you need help send up your "S.O.S. and we will answer.

A portion of the proceeds will go to local recovery related entities.
ALL PROCEEDS from the 4.5k Run 2 Recovery event will go directly back to a local Jax Men's Sober Living residential facility called Foundations of Freedom which is a 501c3 Non profit.

Fun in the sun!

Join us in the fun we will be having at S.O.S., which could stand for Suffering On Sandridge, Save Our Sombreros, Service Over Self or even $h!^ On a Shingle, on Saturday, September 7th in the Jennings State Forest on the Sandridge Trail in Middleburg, Florida. We will be offering 2 distances;4.5k & 9K and 3 timeframes; 3,6,12 hours with each one will be run on an approximately 2.75 mile loop of the beautiful Sandridge Trail. There will be 1 well stocked aid stations at the start/finish and a hydration station. You will also have access to your vehicle and there is plenty of room for canopies and tents. This is also a cupless race so you will need to bring your own handheld water bottle or hydration vest and our aid station volunteers will fill it up for you.

Covid Protocols

Unfortunately, we're still living in the COVID era, so we need to be safe to protect our runners and our volunteer staff. At each aid station we will have volunteers available to ensure that all hydration igloos will be sanitized adequately.

Aid Stations

There will be an aid station at the start/finish area with the standard Ultra fare and will have Skratch electrolytes and a stockade of pickle juice and the second aid station will be a hydration only station at the ~1 - 1.25 mile mark. This is a cupless race. All runners will need to bring their own bottles, hydration vest with bladder or collapsible cup to the event. The start/finish will have standard aid station food and post race treats.
