About
The Bay Area Backyard Ultra (aka "The Ranch"): Check out the thrill of a Last Person Standing-style race set at the scenic Joseph Grant County Park in Santa Clara County. On May 4th, 2024 participants will continually tackle a 4.16 mile loop until the last person drops!
With each loop completed within an hour, whether you're a 100 mile+ runner or someone new to the trails, this event is great for all. Push your limits beyond what you thought possible.
Prepare to test your mettle, embrace endurance, and become a part of this trailblazing tradition. Join us on May 4th, 2024, for the Bay Area Backyard Ultra, where the clock is ticking, and the trail is calling – how far will you push yourself?
Presented by: Bad Luck Run Club and Skybreaker Racing
Format
At the top of each hour, runners must START the next 4.16 mile lap and END the previous lap. Failing to show up at the top of the hour at the start line will disqualify you from the next lap and the race ends there for you. Last person standing wins! The trail is very runnable with double wide trails and no large climbs, perfect for going the distance.
While you may not be going for the win, this is a great opportunity at getting a new distance PR. You will definitely surprise yourself.
