Paper + Dirt is very excited to be hosting The Trail Running Film Festival here in Pittsburgh with our friends at 3 Rivers Outdoor Co. on Friday, July 19th.
We'll be showcasing a series of short films bringing you stories from around the world by filmmakers sharing their work of adventure, wilderness, inclusivity, art and diversity across the trail running and ultra community.
Local run groups will be tabling beforehand and we'll be raffling off race bibs to several regional ultra races. More details to come there.

Get ready for an exciting evening at the Trail Running Film Festival! Join us in Regent Square for a night of trail running inspiration and storytelling. The lot opens at 6:30 PM EST, so arrive early to set up your seat(s). We have a limited number of camping and outdoor chairs; we kindly ask you that you bring your own chair if you have one! The films start rolling at 8:45 PM EST, so don't miss out on the action-packed evening!

Know to Run focuses on themes of “what are land acknowledgements” and the inclusion of local Indigenous communities being part of the trail running community, making running and outdoor spaces more accessible and equitable.

Ultra-runner Sarah Gerrish lost one ovary to cancer at 15 and the second to surgery at 36. Red Needle explores the stigma, trauma and lessons learned from Sarah’s life-changing experience as she uses trail running to help her on her journey.
Brian Reynolds: The Leadville Trail 100

Brian Reynolds is a double amputee below the knee athlete who grew up overcoming many challenges in his life but never had a role model he could look up to. In this film, Brian attempts the famous Leadville 100 Ultra Trail Marathon out in Colorado in order to advocate for all para athletes that nothing is impossible.
Run Like a Kid

About the Host
Paper + Dirt is a new bookshop with a running problem; selling magazines, stationery and art/design books out of their new shop in Point Breeze @ 7105 Reynolds Street.
