Hi Runner:

This is not a fun one to write, but we want to be transparent.

Good morning runners. We have just been informed that FEMA has taken over Lake Park (race site) to use a a debris collection site from the recent Hurricanes. The county has cancelled all permits indefinitely until the park reopens.
What does this mean? Any time the park is closed (for whatever reason) they cancel permits. Last year we had to wait on construction of the new road before even submitting a permit. SO we are hopeful that FEMA will be done utilizing the park before our event and we can reinstate our permits for the race, but in full transparency and good faith we feel the need to keep you updated.

As of now, registration will remain open.

IF THE PARK DOES NOT REOPEN:
If the park does not reopen before our event you have 2 options:
1) defer your race entry to the 2025 RunFluent Christmas
2) defer your race entry to ANY RUNFLUENT event in 2025 (yes, this includes all Ohio races).

I know so will ask so I’ll briefly explain: per our refund policy in the event details, we CANNOT issue refunds. Funds from registrations are utilized as they are received to prepare for upcoming events, permits, supplies, equipment, swag, awards, etc. all of this is still in progress for this event to happen.

*****Refund policy: RunFluent LLC does not issue refunds on race registrations due to the fact that funds are utilized as they are received to prepare for our upcoming events. In the unfortunate event that you are unable to attend, we will offer deferrals to any future RunFluent LLC event for the amount equal to your registration fee. Note* Deferrals must be made 4 weeks from the event date. No changes to registrations will be accepted after November 16 2024.
