Course Description
IF YOU ARE REGSITERING FOR A RELAY TEAM HAVE THE CAPTAIN REGISTER AND YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL REGARDING SETTING UP YOUR TEAM, NUMBER OF RUNNERS, RULES, DETAILS, ETC. YOU CAN HAVE AS FEW AS 2 RUNNERS AND UP TO 12 ON A RELAY TEAM AND CHOOSE BETWEEN A 12 HOUR OR 24 HOUR TIME FRAME.
ONLY SIGN UP IF YOU WISH TO RUN COMPETIVELY IN THE 5K, Half Marathon, Marathon, 50K, 50 Mile,12 Hour, OR 24 HOUR CHALLENGE. Oakwood 24 is a unique challenge in downtown Raleigh, NC. This is 2.1 mile loop through Historic Oakwood Cemetery. The loop has 115' of gain and loss on each lap with 100 miles coming in at around 5,000' of gain and loss. The course winds along paved roads, grass fields, gravel, and a couple staircases. It is a very beautiful backdrop with rich history and beautiful skyline views of downtown Raleigh.
