Race Day

Date: Sunday, July 14th
Packet Pickup and race day registration is available from 6 to 6:45. Please arrive between 6 and 6:15 so that you can get your Dynafit or LaSportiva shoes on and ready to go and get warmed up! Mandatory Pre-Race meeting 6:45 am

Aide Station and finish line cut off is whenever you are there!

Course Description

Race Route: (may have slight changes due to snow conditions) The race starts at the Crest ski lift just south of Molly Greens at Brighton Ski Resort. It will then cross the parking lot to Milly Chalet and take the access road up to Twin Lakes. From there you will turn right and go down the SolBright trail to Solitude. SolBright will drop you onto Kruzer trail, follow that down to the base area at Moonebeam. Take a left and go down the dirt road to Eagle express chair lift. Head up the mountain on Honeycomb Return Road, this dead ends into the Honeycomb Canyon Trail. Take that up to the top, 1.5 miles and 1500 feet of elevation gain. From the top, come down the Summit lift access road and head right to Brighton. You will be back to the dam, but now there is an aide station!! Traverse below the dam and up the other side, take a left on the trail at the top of the hill. This trail connects to Lake Mary, from there it is down to the finish! You did it! You ran 9.5 miles and climbed 1700 feet. You are amazing and deserve a meal and some awesome swag.

Aide Station

There will be one water/energy drink and bathroom stop at Moonbeam Lodge, Solitude's base area at Entry 1. Bathrooms are available to the public in the Ski School building.

There will be one aide stations on this route at mile 6.5. The aide station will be located by the base of the Twin Lakes Dam. This station will be large with lots of treats to celebrate your Honeycomb canyon climb victory! The aide station will be stocked with chips, Oreos, soda, grapes, oranges, bananas, peanut butter and jelly, water, and electrolyte drink.

This race is supporting the environment and will not be using paper cups. Please bring a flexible cup to take with you and use at the aide stations.

Swag

Each runner will receive a gender specific tech shirt, and finisher's mug. Your entry fee also includes a meal and beverage at Brighton Ski Resort! There will be a limited number of inaugural BCC Classic trucker hats available at packet pick-up and race day!

Prizes

There will be prizes for the top three women, men, and non binary leaders to finish the trail race (15k). There will also be a KING, QUEEN, and NON BINARY LEADER for the hill climb. The hill climb is up Honeycomb canyon in Solitude, it is roughly 1.5 miles and 1500 feet gain.
