IT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE ANYWHERE ELSE

The two great sports families that claim Clinton State Park as their turf -- Kaw Valley Disc Golf Club (Lawrence Disc Golf) and the Lawrence Trail Hawks (trail and ultrarunners) -- are set to unite in a unique home-grown event -- a competition found nowhere else on the planet!! -- combining trail running and disc golf -- The 2nd annual Disc N' Dash, Sept. 29, 2024!

THE GAME
Two-person teams -- a trail runner and a disc golfer -- will compete with other teams for the lowest 18-hole disc golf score -- and that score will have points shaved off by runners who complete the most laps of the 1.4-mile bunker Hill grass and gravel course. For each lap the runner-member of the team completes during the three-hour timed run, three points come off the disc golf score. Lowest total by noon wins!

THE 18-HOLE/TIMED RUN DISC N' DASH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
The winning team will not only be event world champs, they will also hold the national, state and course records! All other teams will have the bragging rights of having been part of the 2nd annual World Championship Disc N' Dash.

NEW FOR 2024 -- SOLO ENTRANTS This year the Disc N' Dash welcomes participants who just want to try their luck running as many laps as they can, without being part of a team. Run as many or few laps as you please. One lap gets you a participation award, and you can sit back with a cool drink at event central. Or get as many laps as you can. Same goes for disc golfers -- come out an play the course solo. We'll have winner awards for solo runners and disc golfers, just like for the teams.

A GREAT CAUSE
The proceeds of the $25 per participant entry fee goes to The Friends of Clinton State Park, to be used in their efforts to support the park and its activities, such as buying cool prizes to donate to the state park's OK Kids Day.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL
Following the starting whistle, the runners head for Clinton Lake's North Shore Trails, while the disc golfers play through Mowery's Meadows. As each team completes its mission, the golfers and runners reunite to celebrate with cold drinks, watermelon and more, having done what can be found nowhere else. Custom winner and participant awards will be given out. No one goes home without a commemorative of this world-unique event.

HOW TO ENTER
Easy online sign-up for the Disc N' Dash is right here on ultrasignup -- You'll be asked if you're the runner or the golfer. You'll be asked who your team-mate is, and you'll be asked for a team name. You can also sign up singly, and we'll try to match you up with a golfer or runner race day.
