The year is 1856. Rattlesnake Dick, known as the Pirate of the Placers, stalks the Auburn hills. Join our outlaw posse and race to find his stolen loot.

Rattlesnake Dick 50K is doing a fantastic collab with our Ultrarunning G.O.A.T. & top Running Coach Cole Watson. Cole won the race in 2024 and set the unbreakable Course Record of 4:04:05!
By registering for the Rattlesnake Dick 50K you have the option to purchase a static training plan from Cole for an additional $50. This is a beginner / intermediate plan for the Rattlesnake Dick 50K that has 3800 ft of elevation gain. Plan should only be started with a proper 4-8 weeks of easy base mileage prior. Overall weekly mileage is not reflected accurately due to the mid-week workouts being written in time format, but approximately ranges from 30-60 miles per week. Long run mileage and elevation recommendations are intended to be approximate targets. Plan is written with the ability to train 5 -6 days per week. Thursdays and Sundays are the days the flexibility for that has been structured in. It's the user's choice whether to take a complete day of rest or cross train to their liking. The 50K & 25K start together at 8:00am. The 10K starts at 8:30am. All distances start and finish at the Cool Staging Area (7200 Saint Florian Court, Cool, CA 95614).
Parking
Parking fees are NOT included in your registration. Please display your Golden Poppy Pass or purchase a day use pass $10 (exact cash) as you enter the parking lot.
Volunteers will direct you to park in the Day Use Lot or overflow parking on Haul Road. Arrive early for the best parking spots.

Cut-Off Times
50K 10 hours at the Finish Line with mandatory intermediate cutoffs of 12:30pm at Rattlesnake Bar and 3:45pm at Portland Avenue 2

Each course is hiker, back-of-the-pack friendly.
Packet Pick-Up
Early Packet Pick-Up is Friday, March 20th 3-7pm at the Placer County Visitors Bureau & California Welcome Center — Auburn at 1103 High Street, Suite 150, Auburn, CA 95603.
Race Morning Packet Pick-Up is Saturday, March 21st 6-8am at the Race Start (Cool Staging Area).
