Event Description
"MOVE" provides a socially and environmentally responsible gathering for our community to run a few miles together, have a positive impact on Mother Earth and raise critical dollars for our beneficiary ... Sustain Charlotte.
In lieu of reg fee, we are requiring all participants to pick up 2 bags of trash before the event (full details below) and there is a suggested donation ($25) with 100% of proceeds going directly to Sustain Charlotte and their mission of creating a more equitable, connected, and healthy community by inspiring responsible growth and transportation options. It is no mistake that well over 1000 homes are directly connected to the Park & Ride location that is serving as our Start/Finish area.

What Is A Random Distance Event?
Random distance events are a relatively new style of an event where the final distance or duration is not set by the Race Director rather by a random drawing (picking numbers out of a hat, rolling dice, random number selector, etc). The route typically consists of a set distance and the number of times that route must be completed is dependent on what random number of drawn.
Required Trash Pickup
All runners are required to pick up 2 bags (minimum) of trash around their local greenway, stream, neighborhood, road, etc. or they'll be removed from the UltraSignUp.com participant list and we will pull the next name from the Wait List.
Proof (pictures) of the cleanup must be submitted to HPM@MJBratton.com by 1/15/26 at the latest.
Carbon Negative Event
In addition to the required trash cleanup for each participant, help us make this a carbon negative event by bringing the following to Check-In:
