Introduction
our inaugural event’s beneficiaries are the Cross Country & Track and Field programs at Will Rogers College High School & Middle School.
We know you could run anywhere, anytime & not pay a dime so it’s not lost on us that you’ve chosen to spend your dollars to help resource our amazing kids at Will Rogers. It’s important to know that most of our kids are brand new to the sport & they’ll be out on the course helping all weekend long. We’ve told them that the running community is like nothing else in the world & we can’t wait for you to meet them!
Timing
We are excited to partner with Jon Hughes & his team at 12:1 racing to bring this race to life!
Race Distances
will include 1 mile, 5k, 10k, 6 hour, 12 hour & 24 hour options.
Timed Distances
runners will run as far as they’d like during their selected race.
A Reason To Celebrate
we’re celebrating our 85th year as a school and this is part the kickoff to a yearlong party. To set the scene, we’d love to see as many folks dress up western-themed & we will have some fun awards to give out to those who embody the spirit of Will the best.
Volunteering
We will need as many volunteers as possible to make sure our event is the best experience possible! If you’d like to volunteer, please click on the registration link coming soon.
Start Time
all of our events will begin at 8am & finish accordingly.
Course
THIS IS NOT A CLOSED COURSE. Our course is approximately a 1.01 mile rectangle, on city concrete sidewalks traversing our beautiful campus & turner park. This loop will be repeated until your distance & time is up. On your last lap, you will finish by running a 3/4 lap on our track.
Shirt Deadline
in order to guarantee you your size for your shirt, we must have your completed registration by 9/19.
Finisher Awards
everyone who completes their distance will receive some sort of finisher medal. The top 3 male & female in each race will also receive one of a kind handcrafted podium awards.
Concessions
We will have some vendors onsite selling goodies including some former Track & Field athletes who launched a snocone business.

Camp & Tent setup
we will establish the starting line & all camps in our northern most parking lot, near the stadium. This will give us closest access to the aid station & restrooms.
Aid Station Food
we will be planning to have all the normal aid station food you’ve come to know & love, especially with some surprises along the way! Feel free to share any recommendations or dietary restrictions with the RD's at least a week ahead of the race so that we can help you achieve your goals!
Sno Cones
we know October weather can be spotty but we’ll be having some snocones onsite. Our 6hr, 12hr and 24hr runners will receive one free snocone during the event so bring extra monies with you if you are trying to break a Guiness Record.
Restrooms
we will have access to stadium restrooms on the North side and the south side & will make sure everyone knows exactly where they are before we kickoff.
Resting, napping & leaving the course
while most folks won’t shut an eye, it’s ok if you decide to. If you plan to take an extended nap, go offsite for a meal, it is imperative that you checkout with a race director at the main aid station before you leave and when you return, we won’t send a search party for ya!
