Great Shasta Rail Trail Run – Updated Race Description
We are so excited to welcome you to the fifth Great Shasta Rail Trail Run, now proudly located in Burney, California! This year brings fresh updates, new scenery, and even more adventure.

Course Overview
This is a relatively flat course with great footing, making it an excellent choice for first‑timers or anyone chasing a new PR. All distances are out‑and‑back with a 12‑hour cutoff for every race.

The 30K and 50K runners will travel to the iconic Stand By Me Bridge, a highlight of the Rail Trail and a true bucket‑list experience.
The 50K also features a fun, rugged creek scramble section, adding a touch of adventure to an otherwise smooth and fast course.

Expect crisp mountain air, beautiful forested views, and a welcoming community atmosphere. All runners receive a race shirt, post‑race meal, and all finishers earn a medal.
