Experience a beautiful Turkey Trek 5K or 10K through Lake Ray Roberts State Park - Johnson Branch Unit where you will experience the scenic views and a tranquil atmosphere surrounding Lake Ray Roberts.

Course Overview 5K

- Surface: Pavement
- Course: Cross Timbers Trail
- Elevation: flat, showing less than 50 feet of elevation
- Location: Johnson Branch State Park 100 PW 4153, Valley View, TX 76272
- Weather: Historic Average 46-61 degrees
- Cupless Race: Please bring a cup or bottle, we don't serve cups!

Course Overview 10K

- Surface: Pavement, Double track, Rocky/Rooty trails
- Course: Cross Timbers Trail and Dogwood Canyon Trail
- Elevation: A few rolling hills, showing 300-foot elevation for the 10K loop
- Location: Johnson Branch State Park 100 PW 4153, Valley View, TX 76272
- Weather: Historic Average 46-61 degrees
- Cupless Race: Please bring a cup or bottle, we don't serve cups!

The start and finish are located at Johnson Branch Nature Center.

A DAY PASS or TSPP (Texas State Park Pass) is REQUIRED to enter the park. Click here to purchase your day pass.

Thursday:
*please arrive early to ensure enough time to use the restroom and pickup bib*
7AM to 8AM - Packet Pickup
7:50AM - Race Brief
8AM - 5K and 10K Starts
9AM - Award Ceremony for 5K
10AM - Award Ceremony for 10K
11AM - Cut off (3 hours)

Registration closes at Nov 27th at 11:59PM. No race day registration is available.

5K price increases will follow:
Opening - $35

10K price increases will follow:
Opening - $45

Runners may receive a full race credit to any race of their choosing with a minimum 30-day notice. Race credits cannot be transferred for notices less than 30 days. We do not offer full refunds. Receive your credit by canceling your registration. To cancel, log into Ultrasignup > Registration History and select “Edit” to cancel your race. Your credit needs to be used within one year. If you need an extended time to use your credit due to medical reasons (including pregnancy) or military deployments, please reach out beforehand.

We proudly offer discounts for all active duty military & first responders. Please visit our website and contact us to claim your discount. We will ask for a picture of your ID.
