Mile Madness is back for 2025

We took all the feedback and are making a few changes to make Mile Madness even better. We were blown away from the response and kind words.

We will be moving the race to Columbus Day Weekend (October 10-13) to help with travel plans and cooler weather.

The course will be moving back to a loop that goes through the aid station and is 1.05 miles according to Map My Run, Coros, and Gaia. We will be measuring the course with professional equipment used by the professional races to ensure accuracy.

We will have dedicated water/ice monitors to ensure the "water only" aid station is fully stocked with ice water. That will also have a canopy for the water.

The decorations will be back and there will be new surprises next year, suggestions are welcome.

Awards will be per race, not per distance in 2025 as well so each 6-hour event has it's own podium awards.

My favorite part of being an RD is meeting all the amazing people and hearing what you have overcome in life and at the race. I look forward to seeing you again or meeting you for the first time.

Welcome

Everyday Endurance Races is excited to help you achieve your dreams and break those barriers. Our motto is "Every Runner Matters" because we can all do amazing things with the right support.

The Mile Madness Endurance Run offers races including 6-Hour, 12-Hour, 24-Hour, 48-Hour and 72-Hour events. If you are looking for a nice day with family or trying to earn your first 100 mile buckle, we are here to support you. We handed out 35 buckles in 2024. We also have camping available from Friday until Monday for the 100-mile, 24-hour, 48-hour and 72 hour events. Come be a part of the trail community and cheer on your favorite runners.

Aid Station Food

There will be one aid station in the parking lot near the Start\Finish line (same location as in 2024), stocked with the usual Ultra snacks and much more, but feel free to supplement with anything you think you might need.

This is a cupless event, so please bring your own cup, which you may leave at the aid station if you wish. We will try to provide some "real" food items, like pizza, or quesadillas, in the evening, and pastries or pancakes in the morning- but don't count on a full-fledged buffet. Also, while we will keep all the runners fed, we simply cant feed friends and family not running the race.

We will be happy to fill bottles for you, just let us know what you want, and we will have it ready for you next loop. Please put your name on your bottles and cups.

Treats include:
Electrolyte Drink and Water
Coke, Ginger Ale, Dr Pepper, Root Beer
Coffee
Potatoes and Salt
Watermelon, Bananas, and other Fresh Fruit
Pickles & Pickle Juice
PB and J
Candy, Cookies, Chips, Pretzels
Hot Veggie and Chicken Broth
Cup 'O Noodles
Pizza and more....

Timing

We will have live timing on site and will be measured at the start/finish line.

Only full laps will count, we will not be measuring partial loops. GPS results may vary - our lap count and calculated mileage will be the official results, even if your watch says you went farther.

100-Mile runners will have the full 48 hours to finish and can continue past 100 miles to see what you can accomplish in 48-hours.

Equipment Rentals: Let us do the work for you.

We have a limited number of tents, sleeping bags, tables, and chairs available to rent. First-come, first-served, and when they are gone, they are gone- so get in early if you want one. All rentals are good for the full 48 hours. We will set them up and tear them down. Just show up and run!

Large Tent- $79
Large Tent with two sleeping pads- $129

Volunteer Credit

Probably the most important part of the event: the volunteers. Volunteers who work six hours will receive a $40 credit toward any race this year or next. If you volunteer for the important night shift Midnight-8:00am, You will get $80 credit toward any race in 2026. Limited spots are available. Click the "Volunteer" button on Ultrasignup! Thank you!

Introducing the Charity Parking Spots

Some great ideas come from the runners. It was suggested to have reserved parking spots along the race route for you to use as your personal aid station. These parking spots are located along the wooden fence and you will literally go within feet of your car each lap. You can set up a small table and cooler, umbrella, but unfortunately, there isn't enough room for a canopy. The premium parking spots are $80 for the 3-days and are only bookable for the entire weekend.

I have been wanting to find a way to give back to our small Mile Madness and local running community. Many runners don't have the means to financially tackle their dream race. We want to help.

We will be making 20 parking spots available to pre-reserve. All of the parking money collected will be used to support selected runners at their dream race. We will be attempt to go crew and ensure they have the best race experience possible. Our goal is to take nominations and a committee will select the winner.

100 Mile Plus

We want to allow the people who do the 100-Mile race to continue to gain laps after they earn their buckle. The price will be the same as the 48-Hour. The goal is to allow you to enjoy the course as much as you would like.

Spectators and Pacers

Your friends and family are welcome and encouraged. They may even make the occasional lap or two with you if you wish.

Pacers will be allowed in the 100-mile, 24-hour, 48-hour, and 72-Hour events, and from sunset to sunrise.

Based on capacity of the loop, we will limit the total number of pacers to 35, on a first-registered, first-served basis.

You will be asked during registration if you will be bringing a pacer. We will monitor and shut off pacer requests after 35 spots have been filled across ALL races. Please only register a pacer if you are relatively sure you are bringing one, otherwise you may take a spot from someone else.

Register early. You will get the lowest entry fee and be guaranteed a bib for your pacer.
Pacers may eat and drink from the aid station. You will be given one pacer bib. You may rotate pacers, but only one out at a time.

If you are not given a pacer, family and friends may accompany you for the occasional lap.

Guides for Visually Impaired Runners

Sighted guides for visually impaired runners will run for free, and receive the same benefits as their runner, with the exception of awards, if the runner happens to place. Aid, food, drink, and swag are all included, on us. Just register the runner at Ultrasignup, and then email brian@everydayenduranceraces.com to let us know that a sighted guide will be accompanying the runner. The course, while trail, is relatively smooth and groomed.

One bib at a time rule...

You may register for multiple races and even win them. It is acceptable as long as you aren't running with more than one bib at any one time. Otherwise you are getting twice the credit.

Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup will be announced by 4/1/25 and anticipated to be held Thursday evening at the race. You can also pickup your bib anytime from Friday October 10th @ 7:00am until the last race start Sunset Whitney Recreation Area in Rocklin, CA.

Swag and Awards

Each runner will receive a medal, shirt, as well as some other small goodies. All races in 2025 will have their own podium awards so we can have an award ceremony and celebrate our winners on site. All Runners completing 100 miles will receive a custom 100-mile buckle.

Weather\First Aid

Even moving the race to October 10th, the race could be warm with highs reaching the 90’s in the day and 50’s at night. October is typically dry with less of a chance of smoke from fires. The course does have some shade, but will be exposed during the peak of the day.

We will have first aid supplies on site but please plan on brining all personal race aid (i.e. chafing, KT Tape, etc.).

Lights

We will have decorations, glow sticks, and inspiration stations along the route. It may get dark so please make sure you have adequate personal lighting for the trail, and your "home base".

We will have lights at the Start/Finish during the night.
