Program Overview
Ascend Trail Running offers a Spring Training Camp designed to prepare runners for spring trail races of all distances and levels. Whether you’re attempting your first trail race or striving for a personal best, this program provides the structure, community, and support to help you succeed.
This camp includes structured group runs every Wednesday evening and Saturday morning on some of Sonoma County’s most scenic trails. Wednesday evenings focus on speed, hills, and drills, while Saturday mornings feature endurance-building long runs tailored to meet your goals. Together, these runs simulate race-day conditions and create an inspiring community atmosphere.

Our program culminates in these exciting races:
* April 12, 2025: Lake Sonoma Half Marathon, Marathon, & 50 Mile
* April 13, 2025: Napa Valley Endurance Run
* April 19, 2025: Mendocino Coast 50K
Program Features
Two Training Groups to Fit Your Needs:
* Finish Group: Perfect for first-time racers or those focused on completing the distance.
* Improve Group: Designed for experienced runners with competitive goals.
Weekly Workouts: A combination of speed, hill, and endurance-focused training sessions to build strength, confidence, and endurance for race day.
Group Runs:
Wednesday Evenings (5:45 PM): Focus on speed, hills, and technique with a dynamic warm-up, coached drills, and a group workout.
Saturday Mornings (7:30 AM): Long runs on a variety of trails, including course previews and endurance-focused runs designed to simulate race conditions.
Trail Maps & Tips: Access detailed trail guides and expert advice to enhance your training experience.
Volunteer Opportunities: Give back to the trail-running community by supporting local races or helping maintain the trails we love.
Who Should Join?
This program is perfect for runners of all levels ready to explore the adventurous side of trail running. Whether you're new to the trails or aiming to improve, you'll find a supportive community and expert guidance here.
Suggested Activity Level:
* Running 3–5 days per week, 45–50 minutes per session.
* Familiar with fueling, hydration, and stretching.
* Excited to tackle dirt trails and enjoy beautiful scenery.
