Phoenix Peace Builders

Our mission is to promote nonviolence and help communities heal from generations of trauma by creating positive change from within and without. We promote the principles and steps used by the Rev., Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. and other luminaries of nonviolence. PPB offers several activities and workshops on topics such as Kingian Nonviolence & Conflict Reconciliation, Indigeneity, Reducing Racism & Building Community, and Peace Circles.

PPB also assists in Building Constructive Programs. What do you mean by constructive program? As opposed to other forms of nonviolence that focus on tearing down systems of oppression, a constructive program’s focus is about creating more imaginative, just, and equal communities through focusing on equality, economic self-reliance, education, and environmental efforts. See M.K. Gandhi’s book, “Constructive Programme.” Two Constructive Programs assisted by Phx Peace Builders are:

Emerging Youth Movement, a Restorative Justice Program in Maricopa County, AZ (https://www.phoenixpeacebuilders.org/justice-journey)
Panteras Tenant Empowerment Program in Pima County, AZ (https://www.facebook.com/PanterasTEP/)

Together we can bridge the divide & build the Beloved Community. Contact Mark Klym: markaklym@phoenixpeacebuilders.org; 602-799-4572 www.phoenixpeacebuilders.org.
