***New for 2026 - In case of a tie, individuals who finish the final loop the fastest will be ranked higher. For example if two runners each complete 16 loops the one who finishes the 16th loop the quickest is the winner***
How far can you run on the trails from sunrise to sunset at the Pocomoke YMCA? The sun rises at exactly 6:15 AM on May May 2nd, marking the start of this unique timed event.
Runners will complete laps on a challenging 3.3-mile course for a total of 13 hours and 41 minutes. The goal? To cover the greatest distance possible within that timeframe. Participants may start and stop whenever they choose, or push themselves to run continuously, hour after hour, without pause. Only fully completed laps count toward your total distance.
Course Details:
Approximately 95% trail running
Mostly single-track trails with some wider sections
Features rolling mountain bike hills and rugged, root-covered terrain
Demands focus and agility to avoid falls
Support:
Well-stocked aid station at the pavilion offering water, Tailwind Nutrition, soda, sweets, and salty snacks
YMCA facilities including bathrooms and showers available to all runners
Rest Area Setup:
Runners will claim their own “rest area” in a beach-style layout in the field — set up your gear wherever you like, whether close to friends or in your own space.
Important Information:
No rain date; the event will proceed rain or shine, including humidity and heat
Cancellation will only occur under extreme circumstances preventing EMS and support staff from functioning
No refunds or credits if the event is canceled
All participants will receive a special keepsake swag item and a finisher’s recognition piece
Awards for the top 3 men and top 3 women
Event Rules:
No bib transfers or bandit runners
Bib numbers must be clearly visible at all times
Pack in, pack out — no littering
Stay on the established course
If you drop out, return your bib to the start/finish area crew
No pacers allowed
No deferrals or refunds
No dogs allowed
No early starts (late starts and early finishes are allowed)
Crews may stay at runners’ rest areas but are not permitted on the course
