9AM - Appalachian Festival Starts
10AM - Family Hike & Scavenger Hunt Rolling Start

COURSES
Welcome to Alabama where we celebrate The Mullet, and these courses are business in the front and a party in the back! Start with fast, flowing singletrack before hitting the wild and untamed backcountry trails of the Appalachian wilderness. Whether you're pushing for a championship spot or just out to test your limits, these races will challenge and reward you in equal measure.
The XTERRA Appalachian Trail Fest features two exhilarating race options:
• Full Distance - 35K (XTERRA World Championship Qualifier)
• Half Distance - 18K (XTERRA World Championship Qualifier)
FAMILY HIKE 5K
We invite families to join our Family Hike, an opportunity to experience the breathtaking scenery together. Registration for each family member is on the Trail Fest Website. Best of all, XTERRA Appalachian Trail Fest Full Distance and Half Distance participants receive a free entry to the Family Hike 5k. Discover the history of the apex predator, the Appalachiosaurus, and enjoy our family fun scavenger hunt! This hike is for both little kids and big kids alike! The Family Hike will have a rolling start from 9AM to 3PM.

FINISH LINE FESTIVITIES
After conquering the trails, the real fun begins! Stick around for an authentic Appalachian celebration featuring:

• Local Appalachian Arts & Crafts
• Traditional Bread Making & Butter Churning
