Course

The race begins at the iconic Dirt Dam on the shores of Elephant Butte Lake—a sparkling jewel in southern New Mexico’s desert landscape. From there, participants will follow a flat and welcoming 5K course with views of the water, gentle terrain, and wide open skies. This course is ideal for all experience levels, from first-time 5Kers to seasoned runners looking for a scenic shakeout run.
