Race Description
The 2/3 Marathon is exactly what it sounds like: 2/3 of a marathon (AKA 70 laps around the McCarren Park track in Brooklyn, NY) totaling about 17.5 miles.
But this isn’t your average road race.
Each runner is required to recruit a lap counter—a dedicated friend/volunteer who clicks a handheld counter for every lap completed. The race ends when the first runner hits 70 laps. Everyone else finishes the lap they’re currently on and then crosses the line—meaning your “final lap” might be lap 40, 55, or somewhere in between.
This is a very fun and unserious race, hosted by a comedian, in an unusual race format. If you're still reading, maybe this race is for you!
