Welcome to the Rumble - The Fastest Race in Charleston
Get ready for a high-energy, elimination-style relay race unlike anything Charleston has seen. Set in the heart of historic downtown at Hampton Park, The Rumble is a 3-stage, team relay packed with speed, strategy, and spectacle.
Expect a race-day experience like no other:
- Live DJ
- Athlete recovery zone

- In-race expo
- Over $1,500 in cash prives ($500 for each division winning team)
How the Rumble Works
Each team consists of 2 runners. Together, you’ll compete in 3 rounds of 1-mile relay loops:
- Runner 1 runs 1 mile → hands off to Runner 2 for 1 mile
- Your combined time = team’s time for the round
- After each round, the top 50% of teams advance one round closer to the grand prize
- The final round (Round 3) determines division champions
Divisions & Prizes:Teams choose one of three divisions:
$500 to the winner of each division (Total Purse: $1,500)
Even if your team is eliminated from the grand prize before the final, you’re still eligible for:
- Age Group Awards (based on total team age & 3-round time)
- Fastest Mile Award (Individual & team)
- Closest Predicted Time
- Best Team Coordination
- **Additional surprise awards to be announced closer to race day!
