Breaking News!

Virtual options now exist for all distances and can be completed anytime by year end. The AZ Campaign is a special edition with limited participation options to ensure limited trail impact. Unlike the other distances, this campaign has a $1000 fundraising minimum. If you'd like to coordinate a campaign in your state, please reach out to discuss with our staff.

Warrior Trail Foundation presents

The Dark Sky 220, Cherry Springs 110 and Wooly 50K adventure runs. The PA-Based events offer an experience like none other. Operating out of an historic home in Woolrich, PA, we offer a place for you and your crew to use as an operations base, a floor (or bed if you're lucky) to crash on, and most importantly, a family feel to our event. It's like the Waltons held a trail race - IYKYK!
All proceeds go to trail running events and professional coaching scholarships for veteran athletes who are selected to the WTF Athlete Team. Small and intimate, but never easy! Just like our PA Mountains!

The AZ campaign is a new virtual option following a public accessible semblance of the Cocodona 250 course in reverse from Heritage Square in Flagstaff to Crown King Saloon. Starting on Veterans' Day, November 11th at 4 am, this opportunity is restricted to those who understand this is an unsupported adventure without cutoffs, aid stations, course marking or formal support. Prior experience in multi-day events is highly recommended due to the potential risks inherent in being out on the trail for 3+ days. Think of this as your personal event, go alone or with someone, use crew or unsupported. Just make sure you have someone who will pick you up in Crown King or wherever you decide to stop and communicate your status at least once a day to the campaign director.

An adventure like no other...

Discover the Best of Pennsylvania Trail Running

Experience the very best of what Pennsylvania has to offer—cooler temps, breathtaking vistas, and forest floors lit up in a kaleidoscope of fall colors. You choose the distance, the style, and the adventure as you create your own challenge on our stunning trail system.

With options ranging from a full 220-mile course boasting over 40,000 feet of elevation gain, to the back half at 110 miles with nearly 20,000 feet of vert, this is not your average run—this is a true DIY adventure.

Choose Your Style:
Supported: Bring your crew and enjoy the luxury of pacers who can mule from the start, with crew access at designated points.
Self-Supported: Cache your own supplies along the route—your strategy, your pace.
Unsupported: Go old-school like the pioneers—carry everything you need from the start.
Team Option: Team up with friends and take on the challenge together, either Supported or Self-Supported.

With plentiful water sources throughout the course, staying hydrated won’t be a problem—no matter how you choose to run it.

Registration Details:
- $22 donation per person (all distances and styles)
- Includes a suggested fundraising commitment of $300 ($100 for the 50K, $1000 for the AZ Campaign)

Registration Donation Disposition

The $22 registration donation for each event distance is considered a donation to the Warrior Trail Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation. We recommend consulting with your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of this amount and any other contributions including fundraising expenses. The fees charged by ultra signup or its payment processor are incidental to this transaction and not a revenue sharing arrangement with WTF. These donations are not considered fees under USFS rules as they do not exceed costs. This is the reason the registration donation is kept at a nominal level.
