Course Summary:
This event delivers a point-to-point mountain running experience that captures the very best of Colorado’s high-country trails. Starting at Winter Park Resort, runners launch straight into cool alpine air and immediate singletrack bliss. The opening miles wind through lush evergreens and aspen groves, climbing steadily on smooth, runnable trail with wide-open views of the Continental Divide.

From there, the course rolls across classic Winter Park terrain — a dynamic blend of flowing singletrack, rugged mountain trail, and fast-moving dirt roads that offer a welcome break between technical sections. Expect punchy climbs, exhilarating descents, and a whole lot of high-altitude beauty.

As runners make their way toward town, the forest opens and the descent becomes steady and rhythmic, delivering you into the heart of Winter Park with tired legs, a full heart, and a finish line atmosphere that celebrates every effort.

Whether you’re chasing the podium or soaking in the scenery, the Winter Park 50K promises an unforgettable mountain adventure from the first step to the final sprint into town.

Weather:
This is a mountain race. The weather can be in the 30’s at the summit and the upper 70’s in town. Please plan for the unpredictability of real mountain weather.

Finishers:
All finishers will receive a finisher award.

Aid Stations:
Aid stations will be located throughout the course. The general offerings are as follows: Nutrition: Electrolyte drink, gels, chews & bars; assorted fruits; soda; assorted sweets & salty snacks; peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.
Runner Care: Basic first aid/blister care; bug spray; sunscreen; lubrication for chaffing; feminine products.
