LIVE PODCAST GUESTS
Gina Lucrezi - Gina has always been stubborn and bold, so when it came to advocating for women’s rights and equality in the outdoors, she was bound to make changes. As the founder of Trail Sisters, Gina’s goal is to grow participation and opportunity in women’s trail running. Gina is also Mayor Pro Tem for the town of Buena Vista, Colorado, an active member and former Training Director of Chaffee County Search & Rescue, and Race Director for the Lake Sonoma 50 Mile, Marathon, and Trail Sisters Half Marathon. She is based out of the Lehigh Valley Area, so we are stoked to have her traveling back for this event!
Nancy Hobbs - Nancy founded the American Trail Running Association (ATRA) in 1996, and is also chairperson for USA Track & Field's Mountain, Ultra & Trail Running Council. She is also secretary of the World Mountain Running Association. Nancy has always been a pioneer in the sport, founding the first ever USA Women's Mountain Running Team! Nancy is also originally from Lehigh Valley Area, so we are excited to welcome her home!
Erin Azar - Erin is a self-proclaimed struggle runner. She started her journey in running after having her third child and has quickly become a social media personality and inspiration for runners all over the world. She is the host of "Non-Members Only" podcast where she is notorious for her honesty and transparency in her run journey.
EVENT FEE
We have issued a $10 ticket to help us pay our speakers. The group run is free - as always, however the $10 ticket will gain you access to the live podcast, documentary & Q&A with Kim, as well as a special HOKA and The Running Kind raffle.
If you are able to donate more, please feel free. This event is for the community, so we wanted to make it accessible! If you cannot afford the $10 fee but would like to attend, please reach out to aimee@therunningkind.net.
THE LONG PATH FILM
It’s human nature to try and pretend things are okay in times of struggle. That used to be the case for New Jersey runner and race director Kim Levinsky. Through her attempt to set the FKT on the relatively unknown 358-mile New York State Long Path, Kim unravels her journey from reluctantly starting therapy to becoming a mental health advocate in her community.
We are excited to share this film with the community and have Kim with us to chat more about it! Kim Levinsky is the owner and Race Director of Sassquad Trail Running. Each trail party brings together runners and hikers of all ages and paces to share miles, high-fives, and squatchy snacks in the woods. Since day one, one simple mission has anchored the direction of Sassquad: to welcome all peoples, all paces, and all ages.?
