BIG DAY RUN OFF!

Thanks for signing up for the second ever BIG DAY RUN OFF! We think this will be a cool event that adds to the North Country outdoor adventure scene while supporting the local community & trail infrastructure.

Expect a grassroots effort & feel all around. The bang for your buck is in the woods on the Coös Trails Network, where years of effort have grown into a great trail system that attracts all types of muscle-powered user groups and year-round possibilities.

Proceeds aid the Coös Cycling Club's stewardship efforts on the Coös Trails Network.

COURSE INFO

The majority of the 13.1mi(ish) course is singletrack trails with a few exceptions:

0.1mi section of paved road (Church Street / Promenade Street) that connects the wood lot behind Big Day (start/finish) to the Coös Trails Network.

0.6mi section of gravel road (gated) about halfway in the race.

0.6mi section of woods road towards the end of the race. Primarily used in winter as a snowmobile trail.

This course will have a few shared intersections and short trail segments where the 'heading back' overlaps with the 'heading out'. These areas will be clearly marked to avoid confusion & mis-direction.

At any point along the course expect to cross paths with other trail users; mtn bikers, hikers/walkers, other runners, etc...

Starting Elevation: 800 ft
Elevation Gain: 1,508 ft
Elevation Loss: 1,464 ft

We have tentative plans for two aid stations around mile 5 & mile 9.

COURSE MAP

START/FINISH

The RUN OFF will start & finish just on the other side of our yard here at Big Day Brewing, easily accessible from our beer garden.

Start time is 10am.

Finish time is when the last person crosses the line.

You can pick up your bib the morning of starting around 9am.

Podium/awards will take place soon after enough racers have finished to fill out the podiums.

PARKING/FACILITIES

There is ample parking at Big Day Brewing. Big Day will open around 8:30-9am open so that participants can use the facilities/access water, etc..

Water, coffee, snacks will be available pre/post race.

Dogs are allowed to run with owners on the course. However we ask that dogs are not brought inside the building at any time, per our state license requirement (service dogs are allowed inside).

REGISTRATION & DAY-OF

We will accept day-of registrations as long as we have enough bib numbers to hand out. We ask that people sign up day-of by 930am via Ultra Signup - this will cover all costs that pre-registered racers paid and you will be able to sign the waiver form.

We will start signing people in around 9am. Come to the registration table to get your bib & meal/drink tickets.

Around 9:45 we will have quick pre-race talk & answer any last minute questions.

POST RUN

Enjoy the after effects of the run at Big Day. All participants will receive a voucher good for 1 beer/sandwich combo. Partake inside or outside in the beer garden or yard

Please respect the space and other patrons that day. Have a change of clothes, shoes, etc... at the ready.
