The 300 of Sparta – Epic March is a multi-day endurance march following the historic route from Sparta to Thermopylae, inspired by the march of King Leonidas and his men. The event combines sustained physical effort with historical context and is delivered as a fully supported, staged march across mainland Greece.

The event typically takes place in September 11-21 and has a total duration of nine days, including daily marching stages and overnight stops along the route. Participants cover an overall distance of approximately 400 kilometers, divided into long daily stages over mixed terrain, including paved roads, rural tracks, and mountainous sections. Daily distances vary and require consistent endurance rather than speed.

Throughout the event, all core logistics are centrally organized, allowing participants to focus entirely on the march itself. Overnight stops take place in selected hotels or guesthouses along the route, with structured daily schedules to support recovery and continuity.

What Is Included:

Accommodation each night in selected hotels or guesthouses along the route

Breakfast and dinner daily
