EXHIBITION OF S.P.E.E.D.

(MOSTRA DI VELOCITÀ)

SWEAT. PAIN. ENDURANCE. EUPHORIA. DISCOVERY.

Exhibition of S.P.E.E.D. (Mostra di Velocità) is a collaboration between Mental Athletic and All Conditions Gear (ACG) that radically inverts the norms of ultra-trail racing, transforming Spazio Maiocchi into a closed-loop wild landscape.

Over three days, 26 international trail running athletes from Mental Athletic’s network and the ACG Racing Department network, will run the same 150-meter looped off-road course hundreds of times across three escalating distances: 15 kilometers on day one, 50 kilometers on day two, and 100 kilometers on day three (666 laps, “The Devil’s Loop”).

Rather than confronting the unknown of what lies ahead, runners are forced to face the same test over and over again, pushing performance through the delirium of repetition. By bringing the outdoors within an urban context, spectators are given the unprecedented opportunity to witness in full-scale a 100km trail run up close.

Exhibition of S.P.E.E.D. (Mostra di Velocità) is not just a race and not just a spectacle. It is a closed-loop trial conceived to channel runners’ inner selves, force performance limits and test trail running under conditions it was never designed for. By collapsing distance between bodies, performance, and observation, the project brings runners and spectators around running as a raw, visceral, collective act experienced up close, rediscovered in a radically different context.

Trail Running Race on a 150-Metre Circuit

The competition is a trail running race held from February 11th to 13th on a closed circuit, featuring a looped course with a length of 150 metres, entirely on dirt surface, located inside Spazio Maiocchi, via Achille Maiocchi 7 Milano, Italy.

The following race distances are scheduled:

  • 15 km
  • 50 km
  • 100 km
Each distance constitutes an independent event with its own dedicated ranking.

The race circuit, approved by the Organizing Committee, must be repeated for the number of laps required to reach the scheduled distance:

  • 15 km: 100 laps
  • 50 km: 333 laps
  • 100 km: 666 laps
The completion of each athlete’s final lap will be indicated by the official timing system. Any rounding adjustments will be communicated to the athletes during the preparation of the final rankings.
