Summer Camp Isn't Just for Kids Anymore!

Camp-Run-A-Muck is for every kind of runner. Whether you're training for your first 5K, making the leap from the road to the trails, preparing for your next ultramarathon, or simply looking for a fun weekend surrounded by people who love to run, you'll feel right at home.

Remember everything you loved about summer camp—the friendships, camp traditions, trying something new every day, laughing until your stomach hurt, and ending each evening feeling completely fulfilled? Camp-Run-A-Muck brings that feeling back—just with trail shoes instead of bunk beds.

After an incredibly successful inaugural year, Camp-Run-A-Muck returns with even more opportunities to run, learn, recover, and have fun. Spend your days exploring beautiful trails, learning from expert coaches, sharing incredible chef-prepared meals, recovering with yoga and ice baths, embracing camp traditions (yes, there will be Kool-Aid—with electrolytes, of course!), and even tapping into your creative side during craft time.

There are no prerequisites, no expectations, and no "runner type" you have to fit. Whether you're a road runner curious about the trails, a seasoned ultrarunner, or someone who simply loves being active outdoors, you'll find your place here.

The magic of Camp-Run-A-Muck comes from bringing runners of every pace, background, and experience level together.

Everyone arrives with something to learn, something to share, and leaves with new friends, fresh inspiration, and an even greater love for running.

Run. Learn. Recover. Repeat.

Hosted at the beautiful Stable View in Aiken, South Carolina, Camp-Run-A-Muck is a three-day running and wellness retreat unlike anything else. Set among more than 15 miles of scenic trails winding through longleaf pine forests, rolling Sandhills terrain, and diverse wildlife habitat, every run offers a chance to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature.

Between the Piedmont and the Coastal Plain, Stable View's trail system offers a surprising variety of terrain, including rolling hills, flowing singletrack, and peaceful woodland paths. Along the way, runners may even spot native wildlife, including the once-endangered Red-Cockaded Woodpecker.

The trails provide enough variety to challenge experienced runners while remaining approachable for runners who are new to trail running. Whether this is your first time leaving the pavement or you've spent years exploring mountain trails, every run is about enjoying the experience together.

Between runs, you'll participate in educational sessions led by respected experts in coaching, nutrition, wellness, and personal safety—all designed to help you become a healthier, stronger, and more confident runner.

The Camp Experience

Camp-Run-A-Muck is intentionally designed to capture everything people love about summer camp—with a running twist.

Start your mornings with invigorating trail runs before gathering around the table for hearty chef-prepared breakfasts. Spend your days learning from expert instructors, practicing yoga, exploring recovery techniques, enjoying hands-on workshops, and swapping stories with fellow runners who quickly become friends.

One of the biggest surprises from our inaugural camp was just how much everyone talked about the food.

The chef-prepared meals became an experience all their own. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner was thoughtfully crafted using fresh ingredients to fuel active days while creating opportunities for everyone to gather around the table. Great conversations started over great meals, and many campers said the food exceeded every expectation.

And because every great camp deserves traditions, Camp-Run-A-Muck has already started a few of its own. Gather with fellow campers to sip Kool-Aid—with electrolytes, of course—during one of our favorite camp moments, settle in for craft time, relax together after a day on the trails, and embrace the playful spirit that makes camp...well, camp.

Recovery is just as important as the miles themselves. New this year, campers will also have access to ice baths to help soothe tired legs, speed recovery, and prepare for the next day's adventures.

By the end of the weekend, you'll realize that the miles are only part of what makes Camp-Run-A-Muck special. It's the conversations on the trails, the shared meals, the laughter between sessions, and the friendships formed over a common love of running that keep people coming back.
