Weighted racing is coming back to NY!

We're bringing weighted racing back to Rockland Lake State Park for 2026! Our inaugural 2025 event saw every participant earn at least the 500 Kz patch, and our heaviest lap record was shattered here, at 126.51 lbs. What amazing feats will we see in 2026?

If you're not familiar with the format, you decide how much weight you want to carry at the start of each lap. We'll multiply the weight you carried by the lap distance (3 miles here), to arrive at your score in pound-miles ("Kz") for that lap. You can add, subtract or go out on your next lap with the same weight. Do as many laps as you like, but you'll have to finish your last lap before the 8-hour clock runs out. Oh...and we may add a twist or two for 2026!
