Just an hour south of Atlanta, the beautiful, rugged trails of FDR State Park await. Celebrating 46 legendary years, PMTR is proud to be recognized by UltraRunning Magazine as a premier "Old School Ultra." Born in 1980, this historic race is built to test your endurance and agility across technical, rocky single-track.
2026 Event Distances
We are shaking things up for our 46th anniversary with five distinct ways to experience the mountain:
- 10k Trail Open: Brand new! A fast, explosive intro to dirt racing. No qualifiers, open to everyone.
- 19 Miler (The Classic): Our hallmark single-loop starting at the Liberty Bell park area.
- 40 Miler (The Ultra): The historic, beautifully challenging multi-loop ultra-marathon.
- 46 Miler OG Invitational: A grueling, special anniversary monster honoring 46 years of PMTR.
- Virtual 400-Mile Challenge: Conquer 400 virtual miles this season to build fitness and claim bragging rights before race day! (Tracking details emailed after registration).
Logistics & Swag
All live races (10k, 19M, 40M, 46M) start and finish at the Liberty Bell Pool—offering great amenities, crew access, and a spectacular post-race environment.
Every registered runner receives:
